Testimonials
We have designated students, teachers and parents from the previous year's programme willing to answer questions. If you would like to talk to one of them, please send an email to info@reachcambridge.com and we will pass on their details.
Here are a few of the comments from last year's course:
- 'Reach Cambridge is the perfect way to earn a Credit, travel and meet amazing people - nothing could have made this experience more fantastic' (Student)
- 'This is the best summer programme I have ever seen. The range of experiences could never be achieved in a classroom. The students were able to experience, first hand, history, culture and fun in a supervised situation' (Teacher)
- 'An amazing way to spend the summer - Seeing England while making new friends' (Student)
- 'Our daughter had the time of her life' (Parent)
Reach Cambridge also features on a number of student newspapers, websites and national newspapers:
- Article by student Sophia Fabiilli in her IB Monthly newsletter:
Sophia recommended the course to any student 'who is interested in travelling, learning about other cultures, and picking up an authentic British accent!' She described 'The British Experience' as 'the perfect opportunity to earn Service CAS hours' and 'The Canadian Credit' as 'the chance to earn a high school credit taught by fully qualified Canadian teachers.' In terms of free time she said that 'in the evenings there was a perfect balance between educational activities…and trips to the movies, bowling, or the discos where we could relax after a day of study.' Finally, she said that 'other highlights of the trip were the range of excursions we took. The main excursions were Stratford Upon Avon to see Shakespeare's home and grave, exploring the Roman Baths in the town of Bath, visiting Stonehenge, and taking two trips to London to go sightseeing, shopping and attend a show at the Globe Theatre.'
- Article in 'Die Spiegel' a national newspaper in Germany: www.spiegel.de/unispiegel/studium/0,1518,372369,00.html
- Article in 'The Toronto Post' a local newspaper for Greater Toronto:
'Reach Cambridge offers a three-week study term at Girton College, part of the University of Cambridge. "Students are in class for four hours every morning and spend the rest of the day and evening participating in excursions and activities," says Jeanette Denike, the Canadian representative of Reach Cambridge. Denike is one of the many Ontario teachers who will be teaching at Cambridge this summer. "It's a lot of work for the kids to complete the entire course in three weeks, but they also have a lot of fun," she says.'
